Still Waiting...

I know that I technically have an entire week until my due date, but I really didn't think I'd last this long! Since so many of my friends and family are far away, I've had some requests for pictures of me and my belly...so I thought I'd provide a photo montage of the last few months. No comments on my hugeness, please. The 50+ pounds says it all!

I know, I look like I'm about to tip over! Needless to say, I'm quite excited about getting back to the normal me over the next few months. Although I just had the mother of a 29 year old tell me that she's "still waiting to lose that water weight" from pregnancy! Yikes!







I hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday and enjoying the time off. We'll keep you posted on the progress (or lack thereof) made by Baby Amick!

The First Post!

Sorry to those of you who have come to visit our new blog because of our advertisement in our Holiday greeting, only to be disappointed by a sea of nothing. I (Liz) have been busy trying to wrap up my semester at work and get ready for this child to enter the world. Although they tell me I have two weeks to go, I refuse to believe them and feel that each and every day is my last babyless day...therefore I'm constantly doing something, trying to be productive. Mark, in the meantime, is grading a mountain of lab reports and tests so that he can turn his grades on Wednesday.

We decided this morning that we should probably embrace our last few days/weeks as just the two of us and enjoy each other's company. We'll start tonight, when we decorate the Christmas tree. A little late in the season, I know, but at least we're going to have one this year. Last year we had two kittens so we decided on no tree. I'm sure that I'll be able to post some funny pictures of the cats and the tree...hopefully they won't attempt to climb it and knock it down!

Since we are new at this blogging game, be patient with us. We are not as savvy as my gal pals that have been blogging for a while (whom you can find over to the right in the "links" column, if you'd like to see how this should be done), but I aspire to get there. And as soon as there is baby news (and pictures), you will find them right here!
