Supermodel

Liam has gotten many a cute outfits from all kinds of people. I've been trying to take pictures in them to show the generous gift givers, but since we don't leave the house much, he usually just wears the run of the mill onesie. The following outfit is from honorable aunt Katie Sriver (soon to be Bailey! :)) Like it advertises, he certainly is adorable. He wore it out to dinner tonight with friends, but he wasn't acting very adorable when he cried all the way through and we had to leave with our food in a box!

Liam wanted me to let all of you who have commented on his chubbiness know that he is pleased with his physique. Because he reads People and Us and watched the Golden Globes the other night, he knows from Tyra Banks, Jennifer Hudson, and America Ferrara that fat is the new fabulous! Eat your hearts out, skinny minnies! ;)

Snow days and bathtime

For those of you in other climates...this is what constitutes a snow day in Kentucky. Yesterday we got our first snowfall of the season, and school was cancelled, which was exciting for Mark, but laughable for me, the Chicago native. Granted, this is later in the day after much of the inch of snow had melted, but still...

In other news, Liam and I have been spending a lot of time in bed, dealing with a growth spurt. He wants to eat all the time! Luckily, I get to watch a lot of daytime TV, so I am now well-versed in "what not to wear" and "bringing home baby". I love watching the new parents on bringing home baby. Although that was me less than three weeks ago, I already look at them and think "amateurs!". I feel like I've been a mommy forever...in a good way!




Liam loves bathtime. He's really good and likes to be clean (so he's more like me than Mark in that area :)) He's also cute as a button in his little ducky towel.

Liam is becoming accustomed to the constant flashes of the "daddy paparazzi". We have been taking lots of pictures and I've had many requests for a new post (mostly from Auntie Allison). Here's what we've been up to over the last week (besides sleeping, eating, and diaper changing...)

Liam is learning all about his new home while having fun hanging out with Mommy and Daddy. Today we went for our first walk around the block, but he slept the whole time. We'll try again tomorrow! Although I agree with Emily about this unseasonably warm weather, it's definitely a plus for me and my mental health right now because I feel comfortable taking him out of the house. I made a vow to myself today to get out of the house and take a shower each and every day...we'll see how that holds up once Mark goes back to work next week!
