Our life in pictures (and a few words)

We have had quite the busy couple of weeks since my last post. I'll fill you in with pictures (if I've got them) and words when I don't.

First, we got a new camera! Canon Power Shot Digital Elph. Thanks to Auntie Allie for the suggestion. It's totally Liz proof :). Also, I ended my 6 1/2 year tenure with my job to be a SAHM (Stay at home mom, for those of you who don't read all my gal's blogs) for a while. Bittersweet, definitely. I will miss all you RSPers out there, both students and staff. Sniff, Sniff.

On a lighter note, we celebrated the holidays in Kentucky, Ohio, and Florida, and Liam got a TON of presents. Here is a cute one of him opening one of his many gifts...

After Christmas, we travelled to Pensacola, Florida, to spend a few days with my dad, stepmom, Auntie Allie, and Nic. Since it was a 10 hour trip, we cheated a little and turned his car seat around a week before his first birthday. It made the trip much more pleasant. He really enjoys looking at the big rigs.

While in Florida, Liam got to visit the beach for the first time, though it was far from balmy!

Here he is touching sand for the first time...

And the not as popular putting his feet in the sand...

And a cute one of Liam and Grandpa...

After returning home from Florida, we had a 24 hour rest period before we got moving again...literally. We moved into our new home a week ago.

Here we are in the living room with Mark's parents...

Since we moved in, every single wall in the house has been painted. We could not have done this without a HUGE amount of help from both family and friends. Thank you for all of your hard work! When (and if) we ever get unpacked, we'll throw a nice little thank you party, and it won't be BYOB! Here is a picture of our buddy Mark B. painting our dining room a lovely shade of green (Herbal Wash, to be exact)...

During the painting madness, we celebrated two milestones: Liam's first birthday and my 32nd. Liam's was more fun.

Here he is eating cake (carrot cake...I'm a little overprotective on the diet...chocolate would have been much messier)...

Lucky Liam had his buds Henry and Connor to celebrate his big day with him...

And then finally, yesterday, after eating half a scrambled egg (his first), we realized that Liam is a smidge allergic to eggs. Here he is with a slight case of hives and unbelievably swollen ears (he reminds me of Dewey on Malcolm in the Middle).

So now I've got 11 free-range, $5 a carton eggs to eat. I guess Mark and I will be eating omelets this weekend.

And that's what's new with us.
