Back to Work

I started back to work last week, which means that I have even less time to blog...but we have still found the time to take some cute pictures of our little man. I tried to really savor our last few days home alone together and took lots of photos to remember it by. Today Mark stayed home with Liam all day for the first time...needless to say, his jokes about me eating bonbons all day have ceased!

Liam is now holding his head up pretty well and loves his Bumbo chair. Every time he sits in it we praise him for being a "big boy" and he grins and grins (again, hard to capture on film). Those of you with little ones that don't have the Bumbo, I highly recommend it.

Hangin' with Daddy in bed...

Liam is starting to find his hands, but he's also mastering his tongue. He mimmicks Mark when Mark sticks his tongue out at him. Super cute.

Liam is fascinated by lights, and he loves the singing lights on his Baby Einstein activity gym. Thanks to Uncle Doug and Aunt Katie!

We are eagerly awaiting summer and the opening of our local pool, because Liam loves the water! We've taken to giving him baths with one of us in the tub because he loves to be submerged and kick around. I think we may have a future Olympic swimmer on our hands! (or at least a swim team member :))

G'Day, Mate!

A Visit from the Bryans

This weekend, Liam got to meet his 3rd Great-Grandmother, my dad's mom. She and my aunt Ginny and my cousins Andrea and Ellen drove down from Celina, Ohio to check out the little man. I think they liked what they saw! :)

An interesting fact about the Bryan family...My dad is one of three boys. Those three boys had six girls between them. So Liam is the first boy in the family in decades, not including the two brave souls, Mark and Jeff, who have married in to this bunch of girls! Maybe Liam's gender is indicative of a trend--all the Bryan girls will have boys! Wouldn't that be something?
Here is Mark and Liam with two of the Bryan gals:

Liam visits the Windy City

Liam and I visited my gals this week in Chicago. He was true to form and was very even tempered and pleasant during the long car ride. He must have been excited to know that he was going to meet his honorary aunties and cousin Luca when we arrived on Sunday. Thanks to the Fiores for their hospitality!

Getting some one on one time with Auntie Katie...

Luca and his favorite thing...running water!

By the end of the night, Liam was worn out!

After two days in the ville (Libertyville, to those of you outside the "know"), we headed downtown to spend the night with the Pedrazas. Liam and Pablo had a good time getting to know each other, and it was fun for me to see what the next several months will hold in terms of Liam's development.

All in all, a great trip and a good getaway for Mommy and Liam before I head back to work in a couple weeks.

He's the man

Mark is making sure that Liam is on the road to becoming a full-fledged man:

Reading the sports page with Daddy...

Hanging out in his undies with a beer and the remote (don't worry folks, he didn't actually have any beer :)) A shout out to cousin Luca for letting Liam borrow his long underwear...

Grandparents Galore!

Last week, my mom and grandma (aka Grandma and Nana) visited Kentucky all the way from Naples, Florida. We had a great time and Liam really enjoyed getting to know his grandmas!

Mark's parents also came to visit this weekend. Liam has been absolutely showered with love and kisses.
